Rotary Brighton Helps Bayley House with a Training Kitchen for physically and intellectually disabled people
The need was clear, and the local community asked Rotary to step in to provide a training kitchen to help those with intellectual and physical disabilities better prepare themselves for independent living beyond Bailey House.
The previous facilities were far from adequate. It was a typical 1950's kitchen setup and just not able to cope with the needs of the facility.
A Team from the Rotary Club of Brighton worked with the Bailey House Leadership Team and agreed upon a suitable design that would meet the current and future needs of the facility.
With a donation of $50,000 from the Rotary Club of Brighton Charitable Foundation, the project was planned, constructed and completed, and the resulting impact on the Staff and residents of Bayley House has been profound.
Through fundraising and the generosity of a number of individual members, our club has donated a total of $50,000 to make this possible.
